The operating costs of the Vehicle Engine journal include author fees, peer-review fees, printing expenses, mailing costs, basic administrative expenses, as well as venue rental fees, equipment costs, labor costs, and other expenditures. All funds are provided by the journal’s organizer, the China North Engine Research Institute (Tianjin).

The editorial office of Vehicle Engine is a non-independent legal entity and does not possess its own financial settlement system. All financial transactions, including income and expenditures, are processed through the financial system of the China North Engine Research Institute (the superior unit of the organizer).
