Based on semiphysical modeling theory,a real time model of high pressure common rail diesel engine was built by using Matlab/Simulink software to realize the hardwareintheloop testing of controller. The modeling principle of key components of diesel engine was introduced and the simulation tests under the starting, idle and dynamometer conditions were conducted. The results show that the error between simulation and test is less than 6%. Therefore, the diesel engine model can complete the verification of controller control function and can be applied to the early development of engine control strategy and the HIL test of controller. Accordingly, the model has high reliability and versatility.
