Abstract

A constant volume container and highspeed
photographic technology were utilized to study the spray characteristics of
multihole injector for gasoline direct injection
engine in order to reveal the relationship between spray characteristics such
as spray penetration and spray cone angle of high speed liquid jet flow and
dimensionless coefficients such as Weber number, Reynolds number and airtoliquid density ratio. The results show
that Weber number and gasliquid density ratio have a
significant impact on the macroscopic characteristics of spray. The influence
of Reynolds number on spray characteristics is unobvious.
