The exhaust temperature of turbine inlet at rated point of diesel engine was 763 ℃ and the turbocharger was required to work reliably for a long time at this temperature. Considering the heat transfer of compressor and turbine flow field to the bearing body, the thermal fluidsolid coupling analysis was conducted with CFD software to obtain the temperature field of floating bearing and the temperature at the vortex end seal ring for the nonwatercooled and watercooled bearing body. Finally, the reliability of turbocharger could be evaluated and the accuracy of numerical simulation was verified through experiments, which provided the basis for further research on the cooling performance of turbocharger.
