Matching of Engine Thermal Management System Based on NEDC Drive Cycle

Abstract

The bench test of thermal management system was conducted based on a domestic 1.5 L gasoline engine and the experimental data were used to acquire the boundary conditions of simulation.The enginecooling system coupling simulation model was built with the GTSuite software and the simulation and verification for the bench test of target engine were carried out. In the end, 18 kinds of matching schemes for different radiators, fans and pumps were analyzed. The results show that the optimal matching scheme can save the fuel by 3.36% in NEDC drive cycle compared to the original solution.
