To accurately evaluate the feasibility of operating
pure electric bus on specific routes, a driving cycle with 1 800 s was defined
with the method of speed-acceleration probability
distribution statistics based on Hongkong No.53 bus routine spectrum data. Then
the vehicle performance was studied with simulation method in Matlab/Simulink,
and compared with the actual results. The rationality of the methodology and
results was finally confirmed. The results show that the driving range of the
vehicle under the customized driving cycle is about 22.6 km longer than that
under the C-WTVC cycle, and the electricity consumption
of 100 km is 20.8 kW·h less. The deviation of the
measured results from the simulation results under the customized conditions is
less than 4.2%, and the deviation from the results under the C-WTVC conditions is more than 13.0%, which indicates that the
performance of the electric vehicle under the customized cycle has a higher
degree of conformity to the results of real road test. The developed research
method can provide important theoretical support for the road adaptability
study of new energy electric vehicles in different environments, especially for
the road conditions in the target export area.
