Abstract

Rotor dynamics analysis is critical for developing ultra-high-speed oil-free air compressors for fuel cell applications. Accurate theoretical design and simulation of the rotor shafting system is the key to shortening test verification cycle and reducing development costs. Through rational shafting design of a fuel cell air compressor, followed by analysis of critical speeds, unbalanced response and stability, coupled with prototype testing and validation, the results of the simulation of engineering-oriented dyrobes software and the results of the engineering tests were compared, and the rationality of the compressor shaft system was verified and the performance law was studied. This study offered valuable guidance for the design and computational analysis of shafting systems in ultra-high-speed rotary machines such as fuel cell air compressors.
