Verification of Spray Numerical Simulation Model Based on LIEF
In order to further explore the air-fuel mixing characteristics inside the engine, a numerical simulation model of spray evaporation was established based on the O’Rourke turbulent diffusion model and Frossling evaporation model of Converge software, and laser induced exciplex fluorescence (LIEF) technology was used to measure the liquid-gas two-phase concentration of spray in constant volume bombs under the same working conditions to verify the simulation. The verification results show that the liquid phase penetration in the simulation is in good agreement with the experiment, which proves the correctness of the simulation model. However, the simulation results show obvious deviations in the gas phase. According to the analysis of model equation, the reason is that the used Frossling single droplet evaporation model did not consider the mass transfer and heat transfer of multicomponent and multiphase flow. In the end, the specific recommendation on how to improve the accuracy of model is put forward.
