Abstract

The numerical model of single-cylinder four-stroke engine was established based on one-dimensional computational fluid dynamics. The reliability of the model was verified based on the engine full-load characteristics. The resonant box model was further established for the engine intake system, the influence of the resonant box structural parameters on the volumetric efficiency of engine was studied, and the corresponding optimal structural parameters of the resonance system under the full working conditions were obtained. Then the three-dimensional CFD model was established to analyze the dynamic flow in the intake system during the engine working process under non-steady state condition, the influence of the resonant box on the intake flow was analyzed, and the prediction accuracy of volumetric efficiency was further improved under the structural parameters of the resonant box.
