Abstract

Currently, the gas medium used in the main working performance (flow-pressure rise, power consumption) test of fuel cell hydrogen circulation pump (hydrogen pump) is mostly nitrogen or air, which is quite different from the actual work in gas component and state, causing a large deviation in test results. In order to further explore the main operating performance of hydrogen pump in real condition, the main operating performance and main influencing factors were studied by simulating the real gas components and states. The results show that the difference between the flow rates of nitrogen and the hydrogen-nitrogen mixture with a volume ratio of 91 is more than 10% under the same pressure rise. When the pressure difference of inlet gas is 50 kPa, the differences between flows and power consumptions are greater than 10%. At low speed and low pressure rise, the flow difference is greater than 10% when the gas temperature is 25 and 60 .At high speed and high pressure rise, the flow difference is greater than 10% when the gas relative humidity is 80% and when no humidification is applied. When the supply voltages are 650 V and 450 V, the difference of power consumption is greater than 10%.
