Abstract

By analyzing the relationship between the blade angle and degree of reaction(DOR), the control parameter of blade angle was designed, and three turbine wheels of different degrees of reaction were constructed, which matched different volutes. The influence of DOR on turbine performance was investigated. Finally, the full-parameter optimization of turbocharger turbine was realized based on blade angle distribution obtained according to turbine DOR characteristic. The results show that the introduced turbine wheel optimization design method is feasible, which can meet the performance optimization requirements of turbocharger turbine wheel.
