Abstract

In order to meet the requirements of China emission regulation for reducing the particle size of gasoline direct injection engines, different gasoline particulate filter(GPF) technology schemes were designed based on emission development goals, and the optimal scheme with high capture efficiency and low back pressure was determined through test bench and hub testing. The GPF strategy was established based on engine raw emission and pressure difference, the carbon load model and regeneration efficiency model were calibrated according to GPF test data, and the identification of regeneration conditions and regeneration control were realized. The control strategy was verified through the WLTC emission cycle. The capture efficiency of the optimal GPF met the requirements of emission target, which reduced PN pollutants of gasoline direct Injection engine effectively.
