Abstract

For the problem of high fuel consumption led by the poor control strategy of electronically-controlled silicon oil fan of traditional heavy-duty commercial vehicle cooling system, a fan control strategy was proposed based on the coordinated control of engine water temperature and air conditioning pressure. The influence of engine water temperature on fan speed was changed to 90-98 ℃ stepless speed regulation closedloop control, the specific pressure value of air conditioning refrigerant was further taken into account, and both of them were finally used to adjust the fan speed by using PID control algorithm. Based on the coordinated control strategy, the real-vehicle electronic control calibration and verification and fuel consumption test were carried out on a heavy-duty commercial vehicle. The results showed that the fuel consumption of vehicle improved by about 3% under the premise of meeting the water temperature of engine working control and air conditioning.
