Abstract

In order to improve the economy of extended-range electric vehicles and solve the problem that the basic equivalent consumption minimization strategy(ECMS) could not achieve the optimal economy, an improved ECMS energy management optimization strategy was proposed. The required power of vehicle was used to characterize the current working condition, the acceleration was used to characterize the change of required power at the next moment, and the SOC feedback of power battery was used to judge the stored energy of power battery. According to the three factors, the optimal equivalent factor in the current vehicle state was determined, and the adaptive adjustment of equivalent factor was realized by means of fuzzy controller. The control strategy model was built by Matlab/Simulink and the AVL_Cruise software was cosimulated. The results showed that the equivalent fuel consumptions per 100 km were 8.50 L and 8.07 L respectively under WLTC and CLTC working conditions, which improved by 3% and 1.94% respectively, indicating that the improved adaptive ECMS could effectively reduce fuel consumption.
