Abstract

In order to solve the problem that SCR catalytic conversion efficiency is not good when the China Ⅵ emission test was conducted because the needed lowest temperature of aftertreatment couldnot be met due to the low exhaust temperature in partial conditions of WHTC, the experiment was carried out on an engine with intake throttle and the influences of intake throttling on exhaust temperature, airfuel ratio, emission and BSFC were studied. The results show that the throttle closing between 0% and 40% has minor influence on the performance and emission of diesel engine and that between 40% and 65% can significantly improve the exhaust temperature of diesel engine at low load, which has little influence on opacity, CO, THC and NOx emission. The increase of throttle closing beyond 70% will increase the exhaust temperature rapidly, but lead to the deterioration of emission and BSFC.
