Abstract
Based on the endurance test plan of piston pin coating, piston pin coated with CrN and DLC was tested with the swing friction pair test rig. The friction temperature increase and macroscopic wear morphology were then analyzed. The results indicated that temperature increase of piston pin with CrN and DLC coating was obviously lower than that without coating. In addition, the piston pin with CrN coating had a better wear resistance and antiadhesive performance and the piston pin with DLC coating had a better antifriction performance.
