Sliding Mode Control of Electronic Throttle Valve with Variable Exponential Reaching Law

Abstract

For the non-linear characteristics of electronic throttle system, the uncertainties of external disturbance and the chattering of conventional sliding mode control, the mathematical model was established according to the structure characteristics of electronic throttle, a sliding mode control with variable exponential reaching law was then proposed, and finally the tracking control of electronic throttle position was simulated with Matlab. The simulation results show that the proposed sliding mode control with variable exponential reaching law can not only reach the desired throttle opening degree quickly and accurately and suppress the sliding mode structure chattering of electronic throttle system effectively, but also has stronger robustness to external disturbance.
