Based on the finite element method, the assembly process of shrink
fit camshaft was studied by analyzing the cooling efficiency of blowingforced cooling camshaft at different velocities with different fluids. The results show that the cooling velocity increases significantly with the increase of cooling flow velocity, but the sensitivity of cooling rate to the increase of flow velocity decreases gradually. The increment of flow velocity for the same cooling rate becomes larger. Compared with the blowing velocity, different fluids with different physical parameters have a more significant effect on the cooling rate. The expansion of camshaft shaft due to heat conduction during the cooling does not affect the cam assembly of the next cylinder.
